Dopud was raised in Montreal, Quebec, where he was born on June 10, 1968. He is fluent in three languages (English, French, and Serbian). He made a brief appearance for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in professional Canadian football.
A Canadian actor, stuntman, and former football player, Mike Dopud is most known for his recurring performances on television.
His most well-known performances include Viktor Mikalek on Arrow, Michael Vinson on The 100, Roy McAfee on Cedar Cove, Vic Hadfield in the miniseries Canada Russia ’72, Jason Micic on Power, Kimbo Comstock on Arctic Air, and Michael Vinson on The 100.
Before assuming a more significant part as Varro on Stargate Universe, he also played a number of small roles on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis and pulled off numerous stunts for both programs.
For his performance in Walking Tall, he received a nomination for a Taurus World Stunt Award in 2005.
