Mike Dean, born June 2, 1968, is a former football referee who mainly officiated in the English Premier League.

The former referee currently lives in an English town called Heswall, Wirral, Merseyside, England.
In 2000, Mark Dean was appointed to the Premier League Select Group of officials, and in 2003, he was elevated to the FIFA list of international officials.
He officiated the FA Cup final in 2003, which saw Arsenal defeat Southampton 1-0. At Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, Dean officiated the 2004 Community Shield match between Arsenal and Manchester United.
He was initially chosen to officiate the 2006 FA Cup Final, but Alan Wiley was substituted after questions about his neutrality toward Liverpool were raised.
He has recently graciously admitted to making a mistake in his officiating during a match between Tottenham Hotspurs and Chelsea.
“I should’ve asked referee Anthony Taylor to visit his pitch-side monitor to take a look,” said Dean.
Dean who was the VAR assistant during the game took a bold decision not to punish the Hotspurs player Cristian Romero for hair pulling.
