American two-time Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin has been disqualified at the Beijing Olympics in Wednesday’s women’s slalom.
This is the second time she has been disqualified from a race this week.
Shiffrin was expected to contend for multiple gold medals at Beijing, however, she had trouble in her run almost from the beginning with her feet and arms not in sync.
Legally known as Mikaela Pauline Shiffrin, Shiffrin is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup alpine skier, and a three-time Overall World Cup champion.
She is also a four-time world champion in slalom, and a six-time winner of the World Cup discipline title in that event.
At age 18, Shiffrin became the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history.

She said Kilde aided her to rediscover her love of skiing after her father’s demise.
