British comedian, novelist, and actor Michael James Wozniak was born on November 8, 1979.
He played Brian in the Channel 4 comedy Man Down, and he worked on the Small Scenes production team for BBC Radio 4. These are some of his most well-known appearances.
In the late 1990s, Wozniak started doing live sketch comedy; in 2007, he turned to stand-up.
At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2008, he won the Amused Moose Laugh-Off competition. He was nominated for a comedic newcomer award the following year. Wozniak performed at the Adelaide Fringe in 2009. Wozniak was a finalist for the Best Comedy Show Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2013, but Bridget Christie won.
Wozniak received his first important television role when he was picked for the 2013 season of Man Down, which also included the show’s creator and star Greg Davies. He played Brian, a close friend and confidant of Davies’ character.
In 2015, he created the physical comedy Ruby Robinson for Sky Arts, which starred Kim Cattrall and a team of acrobats.
Wozniak competed in the eleventh season of Taskmaster, which had its premiere in March 2021, and came in second. Having won the program’s world debut at the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he has a lengthy history with Taskmaster.
