Edward Michael Trucco, born June 22, 1970, in San Mateo, California, is an American actor best known for his roles on How I Met Your Mother as Nick Petteruti and in the revived Battlestar Galactica.
At Junipero Serra High School, Trucco wrestled and played football. He grew up as the son of a cop and aspired to be one himself until he discovered theatrical theatre in college. While studying Criminal Justice, he took a non-major theatrical course and did so well that he was urged to change his major.
He portrayed Tae Kwon Douglas, a local martial arts instructor who was anti-drug, in the 2017-2018 Netflix series Disjointed. In the latter half of the 1990s, Trucco began appearing in television shows as an actor, including Touched by an Angel, Silk Stalkings, Beverly Hills, 90210, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, and Pensacola: Wings of Gold. He continued to appear in cameos on shows with a similar premise until the 2000s, including CSI, Heartbeat, Strong Medicine, CSI: Miami, and others. In six One Tree Hill episodes from 2005 to 2006, he played Cooper Lee.
