She was born in Detroit, Michigan, the United States on April 27, 1988 (age 33 years) to her parents Shari Johnson-Jefferson and Michael Jefferson.
Lizzo is said to be an expressive music artist, despite being subject to body shaming due to her thick body type.
Her music was used for many movies and TV series, including A Bad Moms Christmas, I Feel Pretty, Grown-ish, Black-ish, and The Bold Type.
