Michael is a father of two children – two sons who have been identified as Michael Huckleberry Gunner and Nash Michael Huckleberry Gunner.
Michael is from a family of four siblings and he happens to be the first child of his parents Mick and Jane Gunner. Gunner was born in Alice Springs in 1976 and was the Leader of the Opposition, Northern Territory Government of Australia for a year (From 2015 to 2016)

Hudson Michael Huckleberry Gunner is the first child and son of the reigned politician. He welcomed him together with his beautiful wife Kristy O’Brien in 2020. His second child and son Nash was born two years after the birth of his elder brother Hudson, in 2022.
The birth of Nash is one of the primary reasons why Michael is taking time off from his professional career. He mentioned during his resignation announcement that “his head and heart are no longer in the job since the birth of his second child.”
Michael got married to his wife Kristy O’Brien in December 2017 after a failed first marriage. The couple has been happily married to date.
