Michael Gallup, a wide receiver with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, was born on March 4, 1996. He attended Colorado State University to play college football.
Gallup played football, baseball, basketball, and track at Monroe Area High School in Monroe, Georgia. As a junior playing quarterback in a triple option offense, he began concentrating on football.
Gallup, a wide receiver and running back, recorded 28 receptions for 637 yards (22.8-yard average) and 10 receiving touchdowns as a senior, and 37 carries for 484 yards (13.1-yard average), seven rushing scores, and 13.0 yards per carry. In the Class 4A playoffs, he assisted his team in moving on to the second round.
Gallup transferred to Butler Community College to raise his grade point average. He had 11 touchdown receptions and 780 receiving yards as a rookie in 2014, which led the team. He had five receptions for 287 yards and three touchdowns against Dodge City Community College.
Due to an ankle ailment, Gallup only participated in three games in 2015 but had nine grabs for 74 yards and a touchdown.
