Meta AI, Facebook’s artificial intelligence assistant, has officially launched in Ghana and six other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This new development, powered by Llama 3, aims to make Meta AI smarter, faster, and more interactive for users.

The launch of Meta AI in English will provide millions of Africans with enhanced connectivity and tools to be more creative, expressive, and productive. This AI assistant is now available for free on phones and in pockets in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

Users can access Meta AI on various Facebook-owned platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger to facilitate tasks, learning, creativity, and connections with essential content. The integration of real-time knowledge from Google and Bing into Meta AI’s responses makes it one of the most intelligent AI assistants available for free use.

Mark Zuckerberg, in a recent post, expressed the goal of building the world’s leading AI with Meta AI. The new features of Meta AI include animating images, styling them differently, or turning them into GIFs to share with friends, sparking creativity in unique ways. This expansion of Meta AI to new countries signifies the company’s commitment to reaching more users and providing real-time information seamlessly.

The introduction of Meta AI at the 2023 Meta Connect event laid the foundation for enhanced interactions worldwide. With Meta AI now accessible to more users in different countries, the possibilities for engaging with the AI assistant are endless.
