Over the course of his career, Sergio Ramos has made several tackles on Lionel Messi, but he probably never thought he’d have to deal with them in practice.
The two former LaLiga Santander stars now only compete against one another during practices after destiny brought them together at Paris Saint-Germain. But that doesn’t automatically imply that they are less competitive.
A video from a PSG training session has surfaced, showing the Argentine forward clearly displeased by the Spanish center-back’s hard tackle.
Messi, who was obviously not pleased with the challenge, wasn’t for letting it go easily. In the viral video, the former Barcelona player can be seen receiving the ball and advancing away from the legendary Real Madrid player before the latter hard kicks him in the left leg.
Following his goal in the mini-game, Messi confronts Ramos, and despite the Spaniard’s efforts to make amends, Messi isn’t having it.
The Argentine likely thought the challenge was pointless, avoidable, and in any case way too harsh for a training session.
Ramos makes one more attempt to speak with Messi before turning away in frustration, probably believing that he is exaggerating given that the legendary Barcelona player was obviously not prepared to move on so quickly.
