Melissa Marie Benoist is an American actress, singer, and producer. Her first major role was on the Fox musical comedy-drama Glee (2012–2014). She rose to widespread prominence for portraying the title character on the CBS / CW superhero series Supergirl (2015–2021), along with related media in the Arrowverse franchise.

Chris Wood met his wife and the mother of his kids on the set of Supergirl after Chris had joined the cast for season two as Mon-El, a love interest for the leading lady’s Kara Danvers (a.k.a. the titular superhero). The two hit it off and officially confirmed they were dating in 2017.

Christopher Charles Wood is a popular American actor who is known for his role as Kai Parker in the sixth season of the CW’s television series The Vampire Diaries in 2014, after previously appearing on The CW’s The Carrie Diaries in the role of writer Adam Weaver in 2013.

Melissa and Chris announced their engagement after two years of dating on Instagram on February 10, 2019. In early September 2019, the two married, and on March 4, 2020, the couple announced on Instagram that they were expecting their first child. They announced the birth of their son Huxley Robert Wood in September 2020.

Not much is known about the 2-year-old as his parents prefer not to give many details about the young boy, but they often share photos of videos on their social media feeds.
