Sinisa Mihajlovic is a Serbian professional footballer and manager who was born on February 20, 1969, in Vukovar, Croatia, to Bogdan and Viktorija Mihajlovic.
He played defense or midfield during his football career. He took part in both the UEFA Euro 2000 and the FIFA World Cup 1998. One of the all-time great free-kick shooters was Sinisa Mihajlovic.
With 28 goals, he now owns the Serie A record for most free-kick goals scored. Sinisa Mihajlovic began working as head coach Roberto Mancini’s assistant at San Siro after quitting football.
Since then, he has served as a coach with Sporting CP, Bologna, Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, and Milan Torino. In addition, he served as the Serbian national football team’s coach from May 2012 to November 2013. On Friday, December 15, 2022, he went away.
On July 13, 2019, Sinisa Mihajlovic revealed his diagnosis of acute leukemia and subsequent bone marrow transplant following three rounds of treatment.
