Peter Andreas Thiel is a German-American billionaire entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and political activist.
Thiel was born in Frankfurt am Main, West Germany, on October 11, 1967, to Susanne and Klaus Friedrich Thiel.
Peter’s family relocated to the United States when he was a year old, settling in Cleveland, Ohio, where his father worked as a chemical engineer.
Klaus then worked at a number of mining companies, providing Thiel and his younger brother, Patrick Michael Thiel, an itinerant upbringing.
