Jake DeBrusk is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was born on October 17, 1996, in Edmonton, Alberta. He currently plays left wing for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Jake was 27 years old and had a height of 183 cm, or 6 feet 0 inches. In the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, the Bruins chose him with the 14th overall pick. DeBrusk is the son of former NHL forward and color commentator Louie DeBrusk.

DeBrusk was chosen by the Swift Current Broncos in the seventh round of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. In 2015, he was selected to participate in the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. DeBrusk scored 81 points in 72 games for the Swift Current Broncos during the 2014–15 WHL season. DeBrusk went to the 2016 Memorial Cup with the host Rebels, who were beaten by the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the semifinals.

DeBrusk scored his first goal in the NHL on October 5, 2017, during the Bruins’ first game of the 2017–18 regular season against the Nashville Predators. Thanks to his goal, the second of the team’s four goals, his father, Louie DeBrusk, and family were in the stands at TD Garden to watch the Bruins defeat Nashville 4-3 at home.

Louie and Cindy DeBrusk are the parents of Jake DeBrusk. Canadian-born Louis Dennis DeBrusk was a professional ice hockey player until his retirement in 1971. He is currently employed by Sportsnet as a color analyst for the Edmonton Oilers and Hockey Night in Canada late-game broadcasts. DeBrusk played junior hockey for the Port Elgin Bears and the Stratford Cullitons before joining the London Knights. In Ontario, Port Elgin is where he was raised. Cindy DeBrusk is the mother of Jake DeBrusk. However, not much was known about Cindy at the time of publication.
