On June 16, 1990, Austin Krajicek, a professional tennis player from the United States, was born. On April 17, 2023, he reached his highest singles ranking of 94, and on October 26, 2015, he reached his highest doubles ranking of 3. He played college tennis at Texas A&M. Richard Krajicek, a Dutch tennis star and former Wimbledon winner, has a sister named Michalla Krajicek who is distantly connected to him.
At Texas A&M, Krajicek lettered from 2008 to 2011. He and Jeff Dadamo won the doubles title at the 2011 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships, giving the program its first national title.
Prior to 2018, Krajicek mostly competed in singles and doubles on the ITF Futures and ATP Challenger Tour. In the Miami Open in 2023, he and Nicolas Mahut won his third Masters competition. Following their victory at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters, he and Ivan Dodig climbed to a career-high world No. 4 ranking.
Meet Austin Krajicek coach Philip Farmer
Texas’s Dallas is the birthplace of American tennis instructor Philip Farmer. He currently works with tennis players including John Isner, Austin Krajicek, and Hans Hach Verdugo. He participated in Texas 5-A high school doubles at Plano East Senior High and won district, regional, and state championships in 1991 and 1992.
He played tennis from 1992 to 1996 while attending the University of Oklahoma and earning his degree. He has coached both the men’s and women’s professional circuits since 1997.
Additionally, he served as Director of Tennis at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney, Texas, and Head Tennis Professional at the Lakes Tennis Academy in Frisco, Texas.
