Indian professional golfer Aditi Ashok hails from Bangalore. Aditi Ashok participates in both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She made her Olympic debut in 2016 at the Summer Games. She placed fourth and qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo’s golf competition.
When Aditi Ashok, who was born on March 29, 1998, was five years old and saw the lovely, lush course at the Karnataka Golf Association, she developed an interest in golf. Aditi Ashok was raised in a middle-class Bengaluru household. Once she had driven her father to the course one morning, there was no going back.
While balancing her studies at Bengaluru’s famous Frank Anthony Public School and her passion for the game, the Indian golfer started regularly playing at the course and participating in adjacent competitions.
At the South Indian Junior Championships and the Karnataka Junior Championships in 2011, Aditi Ashok, then 13 years old, earned her first state-level prizes. The next year, she also won the national amateur championship.
Aditi Ashok has paved the way for women’s golf in India after turning pro in 2016. She won championships on the Ladies European Tour and played on the Ladies Professional Golf Tour (LPGA).
