Following the heated online feud between Medikal and Showboy, the former has forfeited his membership in the Arab Money Gang (AMG).
Medikal recently quit the AMG group owing to persistent disagreements with Showboy, who claimed to be a cofounder. Medikal’s resignation was reportedly sparked by Showboy’s perceived entitlement and disrespect.
Showboy had always claimed to be a co-founder of the AMG organization, and after returning to Ghana from the US prison, he had assaulted members for failing to pay him dues.
He recently sued AMG Deuces, a strong part of the AMG group, for failing to provide him a share of the ambassadorial agreement he just signed with a well-known company, which was documented on social media.
Showboy punched Deuces in the streets of Osu, Accra, prompting a response from Medikal, who condemned the conduct.
In reaction to Medikal, Showboy focused his accusations on the ‘Too Risky’ hitmaker, making scathing charges about him and threatening to knife him.
Medikal then resorted to social media to express his displeasure with Showboy’s disrespect and desperation for group domination.
“There’s been a lot of trash thrown at my name because of AMG. My mother, a young kid, and others close to me have been attacked. He even threatened to knife me. I recall being present when Waddle founded this group. He even recommended the moniker OMG (Oil Money Gang), and I was the one who came up with AMG (Arab Money Gang), because there were so many companies with the name OMG at the time. There was even a ‘OMG Ghana’.
“At the time of our conversation, I had no notion Showboy was Waddle’s pal. I developed the AMG logo. I printed our first t-shirts. But I’ve recognized I’ve been mistreated, and this person is from the same group. Showboy is Waddle’s tiny boy. So whenever he claims to be an AMG group leader, I chuckle,” he said in a TikTok video that went viral.
In this context, Medikal has left the AMG group with immediate effect, stating that he is now focused on developing his ‘Beyond Control’ brand.
“Showboy has never been involved with AMG since its beginning. When I found Medikal, he had never been in the film. He only knew me when I made it into the spotlight. He’s been misbehaving, but I’ve overlooked it since I consider him my boy. He once brought some ‘ginger’ into the movement, so I’ll spare his foolishness. Some time ago, he promised to sell his possessions to help me out of trouble, which earned him a unique ticket into the movement. Nobody at the moment wanted to make such a sacrifice for me. That is why I let go of so many things, but he has passed a line.
“It takes a lot for me to come out and speak but the thing dey start dey bore because one person is making turning this into a difficult situation. I am not in any way trying to convince Medikal to come back to AMG. It’s not even about that. Medikal has since outgrown the AMG group. He has just been around us for the love he has for me. What can AMG do for Medikal currently? He needs bigger labels that will catapult him onto big things,” he stated in a viral video spotted online.
