Some top Ghanaian celebrities have reacted to Shatta Wale’s arrest following his fake shooting stunt.

The dancehall musician is still on top trends and dominating headlines after he turned himself in to the police.

Confirming his arrest in a press statement, the police said: “Police Have Arrested Charles Nii Armah Mensah Popularly Known as Shatta Wale. The Police have arrested Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale.

After we publicly declared him and one other person wanted, the suspect, Shatta Wale, turned himself in today Tuesday 19th October, 2021, at 8.59pm.

He has been arrested to assist the Police in investigations for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic.

As stated in previous statements, the public is advised to desist from publishing false information, capable of disturbing the peace of the country or risk being arrested and prosecuted.”

Captain Planet, on the other hand, said he feels sad seeing the dancehall star in handcuffs.

Meanwhile, blogger Chris Handler of GHBase has suggested that a law should be passed to prohibit pastors from prophesying publicly.

In a Facebook post, he suggested: “Now that Shatta Wale has been arrested, I think a law should be passed that will ban unsolicited prophecies in the country.

If the person is not your church member, and has not asked for you to tell him or her what you’ve seen about their life, you have no right to make public such prophecies whether positive or negative.

Since we can’t show evidence of what is an authentic prophesy and what is not, don’t allow any pastor in the country declare what they see of non-church members in public.”
