Actress Jackie Appiah from Ghana has responded to Junior Pope’s passing.
While traveling to make a movie, Nigerian actor Junior Pope perished in a boat accident.
He and a few other crew members aboard the boat perished.
Following Junior Pope’s passing, many in the African film industry have called for appropriate action to be taken in the future regarding the safety and well-being of actors and actresses on film sets.
Leading African actress Jackie Appiah responded to the news of Junior Pope’s passing by expressing astonishment at the actor’s untimely passing.
The actress hopes that nobody perishes while trying to obtain their quota of bread.
“RIP @jnrpope and to,” her post said.
“RIP @jnrpope and to the crew members,” her message said. This is quite depressing. May we not perish while trying to get our daily bread.
