Maurizio Arrivabene (born March 7, 1957) is an Italian manager and sports director who currently serves as the CEO of the Italian football club Juventus.
Arrivabene was the team principal of Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One. He took over as team principal in November 2014, succeeding Marco Mattiacci, and was succeeded by Mattia Binotto in January 2019.
Arrivabene has a background in marketing and sales. He joined Philip Morris International in 1997 and rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Marlboro Global Communication and Promotions in 2007, and Vice President of Consumer Channel Strategy and Event Marketing in 2011. He became involved with the company’s sponsorship (via the Marlboro brand) of the Ferrari Formula One team through his work with Philip Morris and sat on the Formula One Commission as a representative of the sport’s sponsors beginning in 2010.
Ferrari announced on November 23, 2014, that Arrivabene had been named team principal, taking over for Marco Mattiacci, who had only held the position since April of that year. The choice to appoint Arrivabene was made by Sergio Marchionne, the new Ferrari chairman, who cited Arrivabene’s “deep understanding not just of Ferrari but also of the governance mechanisms and requirements of the sport” as a factor in the decision. After Luca di Montezemolo, the longtime Ferrari Chairman was ousted, Marchionne restructured the team with this appointment. After the 2018 season, Arrivabene was succeeded as Ferrari team principal by Mattia Binotto, a former technical director.
