Matt Skiba children: Does Matt Skiba have children?

According to research, Matt Skiba does not have any children.

Skiba studied design at Columbia College in Chicago before leaving in 1996 to form the Alkaline Trio with drummer Glenn Porter and bassist Rob Doran. Doran left the band after they recorded the For Your Lungs Only EP, which followed their demo and single “Sundials.” Dan Andriano joined the band and contributed bass to the EP. On Asian Man Records, the band released their debut full-length album Goddamnit in 1998, followed by Maybe I’ll Catch Fire and the compilation Alkaline Trio in 2000.

Porter left the group in 2000, and former Smoking Popes drummer Mike Felumlee replaced him. From Here to Infirmary was released in the spring of 2001 by Vagrant Records. Jade Tree Records released a Hot Water Music/Alkaline Trio split EP in 2002, which was well received. Both bands contributed original songs as well as covers of each other’s songs. In 2003, the band released Good Mourning, their first album with drummer Derek Grant, formerly of Suicide Machines and Thoughts of Ionesco. Skiba suffered from acid reflux while recording Good Mourning due to his diet, lack of vocal warm-up, and previous issues with alcohol and drugs.
