Matt Ammendola is a free-agency American football kicker who was born on December 11, 1996. He attended Oklahoma State University and played football there. He played for the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Arizona Cardinals after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Ammendola finished his junior season fourth in the Big 12 with 109 points. To begin his junior season, he made twelve of his first thirteen field goals. He struggled at first, missing five of his first six field goals, but he finished the season well, making three of them. He was the game’s captain versus Texas Tech.
Ammendola led all kickers in scoring during his senior season, finishing tied for third in the Big 12. 20 of Ammendola’s 26 field goals were successful. Against Iowa State, he made a 49-yard field goal for the distance. He made his first 13 field goals of the season, as well as his final five field goals of the campaign. He led the team against TCU as the captain.
