Mate Pavić has been active as a professional tennis player since 2011 and is still active today. Nonetheless, he was coached by John Farrington and Nađa Pavić.
Initially, Pavić earned a wild pass to the 2012 Zagreb Indoors doubles tournament after winning the Boys’ Doubles title at Wimbledon. Eventually, at the age of 18, he reached his first ATP doubles finals with Ivan Dodig.
Besides, Pavić aspired to play tennis in both singles and doubles, however, when doubles qualifying events were established in 2016, he was allowed to enter larger ATP doubles tournaments.
