Martin Joseph Considine died on August 1, 2001, at the age of 59. The cause of his death was cancer which he battled for some time. He was an Irish man born on November 13, 1941, in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland.
Martin got married to Pauline Dymphina Coleman on May 30, 1964, in Lichfield, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom. The couple had 6 children – four females and two males, one of which is the English actor Paddy Considine.
Martin lived in Winshill, a village of Burton with his wife where they raised their six children. Being poor and often unemployed, Martin struggled with life to make ends meet.
Just before Martin died he made a wish. His wish was to have his son succeed as he kept saying he wanted Paddy to work with Shane Meadows again.
Paddy, Marti’s son, is known for his many collaborations with filmmaker Shane Meadows. He came to the limelight in the early 2000s, making his acting debut with the movie A Room for Romeo Brass in 1999, and having a first lead role in the film “Last Resort” in 2000.
Martin passed away just before his son (Paddy) went to New York to make 2002’s In America with Samantha Morton and director Jim Sheridan.
