American actor Mark Blum appeared in theatres, movies, and television between the dates of May 14, 1950, and March 25, 2020.
He became popular after landing the lead part in the 1985 movie Desperately Seeking Susan. The following year, he earned a supporting role in Crocodile Dundee.
For his performance in the play Gus and Al during its 1988–1989 season, Blum received an Obie Award.
Blum, who was nearing the end of his career, appeared in Mozart in the Jungle on Amazon Prime from 2014 until 2018. Together with that, he appeared as a guest on several shows during the course of his career.

Blum was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Morton Blum, an insurance professional, and Lorraine (née Fink). His relatives were Jews.
He was raised in Maplewood, New Jersey, and attended Columbia High School, where he graduated in 1968. In 2012, the school’s hall of fame honoured him. Afterwards, he earned his University of Pennsylvania degree.
