The Czech Republic has attracted media attention lately after she booked her place in the quater finals of the ongoing Wimbledon Tournament.
Marie Bouzková coach: Who is Cristian Requeni?
The Wimbledon quarterfinals resume on Tuesday (July 5) with a match between third seed Ons Jabeur and Marie Bouzková. Jabeur, from Tunisia, has been unstoppable this season, posting a 34-9 record and two titles.
She won the Madrid Open after reaching her first final of the year at the Charleston Open. It was her first WTA 1000 championship, but it would not be her last.
The 23-year-old Bouzkova on the other hand is having a good season as well, with an 18-9 record and a finals appearance in the Abierto Zapopan in Guadalajara, Mexico, in February. Sloane Stephens eventually beat her up.
She become a professional tennis player in 2013 and is currently coached by Cristian Requeni and her father, Milan Bouzková.
Christian has been behind almost all the successes chalked by the young Czech republican. He is 47 years old and happens to be a Spaniard.
