Marcus Rashford MBE, a forward for Premier League team Manchester United and the England national team, was born on October 31, 1997, in England.

Rashford, a Manchester United player since the age of seven, scored twice in both his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later and his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016. Along with his debuts in the EFL Cup and UEFA Champions League, he also scored in the first Manchester derby. Rashford has triumphed with United in the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield, and UEFA Europa League.

Rashford became the youngest English player to score in his first senior international match when he scored on his England debut in May 2016. He has now played in two UEFA European Championships: in 2016 when he was the tournament’s youngest player, and in 2020 when England finished runners-up to Italy. He has also represented England at the FIFA World Cups in 2018 and 2022.

Marcus Rashford was born in Manchester on October 31, 1997, and grew up in the Fallowfield, Withington, and Wythenshawe neighborhoods. His grandmother was born on the West Indian island of Saint Kitts, and he is of Kittitian heritage. Rashford is from a working-class background; his mother, Melanie Maynard, is a single mother who often had to work numerous jobs to feed their family, skipping meals herself to guarantee Rashford and his brothers ate.

He has four elder siblings; two brothers, Dwaine Maynard and Dane Rashford, both of whom went on to represent him professionally, and two sisters, Chantelle and Claire. He is the cousin of fellow player Lois Maynard, who presently plays for Oldham Athletic as a midfielder.
