Manny Ramirez is a big-league baseball player. When he was 13, he and his family relocated to Washington Heights, New York City.

Despite living in New York City, Ramirez became a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. Manny went to high school but got out at the age of 19 before graduating. His high school baseball team was entirely comprised of Dominicans.

Manny was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the first round of the Major League Baseball draught in 1991.

He signed for a $250,000 signing bonus and began his career in the minor leagues. He made his major league debut against the Minnesota Twins in 1993, after dominating during this period.

He spent 19 seasons in Major League Baseball. Teams he played for included Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and Tampa Bay Rays, among others.
He concluded the season with one in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
Throughout his career, Ramirez established solid reputation as batter, bringing both elegance and power to the plate. In his career, he hit approximately 500 home runs, 21 grand slams, and 29 postseason home runs. 
Manny also has lifetime batting average of .312 and is widely recognized as one of the  best right-handed batters of his time

Manny Ramirez signed an eight-year, $160 million contract with the Boston Red Sox nineteen years ago.

Manny Ramirez unexpectedly resigned from Major League Baseball in 2011, shortly after signing with the Tampa Bay Rays. There were reports that he had tested positive for narcotics. Manny was suspected of using a performance-enhancing drug at that year’s Spring training.

Ramirez signed a one contract with the Sydney Blue Sox recently. The veteran batsman’s expertise was sought after to help the re-formed Australian Baseball League.

He was later released in 2021 because of constant injuries.
