Ronaldo, who will represent Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, reportedly received instructions not to return to the club’s Carrington training centre after the competition.

During his interview with Morgan, which was shown on TalkTV over two days on Wednesday and Thursday, Ronaldo levelled a number of accusations against United.

He said that United lacked “empathy” and that he was being systematically pushed out of the club after his small daughter was hospitalized in July.

Additionally, Ronaldo asserted that neither Erik ten Hag nor the Glazer family, the club’s owners, “had respect” for him.
The Guardian claims that United were unaware that Ronaldo had spoken to Morgan.
According to a club statement on Friday: “Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview. We will not be making further comments until this process reaches its conclusion.”
