A suspect who accused the 38-year-old man of spreading rumors about him used a pair of scissors to stab him, sending him to the hospital.
One Musah Fuseini is said to have stabbed Saidu Dauda in the left shoulder and left rib; the court has since placed him under arrest and placed him on detention.
According to the authorities, at approximately 6:50 p.m. on February 14, 2024, Dauda and Fuseini got into an open fight after the latter accused the former of rumor.
A police statement claims that Fuseini fled after committing the horrible crime but was later apprehended, held, and placed under custody.
“On February 14, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., Sulemana Seidu of Moshie Zongo, Kumasi, called the station to report that, at roughly 6:50 p.m., his 38-year-old brother Saidu Dauda was stabbed in the left rib and shoulder by a man named Musah Fuseini, who then ran away from the scene.
The complainant claims that the suspect accused the victim of spreading rumors about him. After that, there was a miscommunication between them, which led to an argument.
They both went their separate ways. The victim was unaware that the suspect was following him when he stabbed him in the left shoulder and left ribs with what seemed to be a knife or a pair of scissors, according to the report.
According to a statement from the Tafo-Pankrono District Police, the victim was taken to KATH “where he remains on admission” after suffering stab wounds and bleeding heavily.
Musah Fuseini was detained at his hiding place in Moshie Zongo on the same day that the police reported he was apprehended. On February 16, 2024, he appeared before the Old Tafo Circuit Court and was remanded into police custody to help with investigations.
The suspect, according to the police, will appear in court again on February 26, 2024.
