Man remanded for allegedly killing 74-year-old stroke patient during robbery

The Ofankor Circuit Court has remanded Mohammed Abdullah, 20, for allegedly killing a stroke sufferer, 74, after robbing her in her three-bedroom home in Kasoa Lamtey.

The sad event happened in the Central region of Awutu Senya East, close to the Ballon Hotel.

According to the prosecution, Mohammed Abdullah, the defendant, tied the woman up with a rope, slashed her throat, and then looted the three-bedroom home, taking valuables and an unknown quantity of cash. According to police reports, the guy was apprehended after being caught on camera in the home.

Anita Love Obo Amissah, the municipality’s chief executive, made a plea to the people living there to install CCTV cameras in their homes and businesses in order to help the police combat criminal activity within the municipality.
