Mason Shadrack, 30, is believed to have killed his fiancée and their two kids, and now he’s on the run.
The fatalities have been identified as the two-week-old baby, Nti Joseph, the stepson, who is four years old, and 25-year-old girlfriend Portia Yerebe. On Monday, January 29, 2024, the horrible occurrence happened, shocking everyone in the village.
The baby was bathed by Portia Yerebe’s mother, reportedly, when she went to her daughter’s home to live with her lover. When she got there, she found the room locked, so she had to go and come back another time.
But after waiting for a response from her daughter all day, she turned to the community leaders, who jointly forced their way into the room. Inside the room, they found the victims’ motionless bodies.
While the youngsters showed symptoms of poisoning, Portia’s body had severe injuries that suggested she may have been struck with a sharp object, according to first assessments.
Shadrack, the suspect, is currently at large and being intensively pursued by the authorities. The deceased’s bodies have been sent to a morgue for preservation and an autopsy.
