Manchester City showcased their dominance in a predictably easy victory over struggling Luton Town, moving them to the top of the Premier League standings.
The game started off with a bang as Erling Haaland’s volley deflected off Luton’s Daiki Hashioka and found the back of the net in just 65 seconds.
City extended their lead in the second half with a magnificent strike from Mateo Kovacic, followed by Haaland converting a penalty after a foul on Jeremy Doku. Despite a goal from Ross Barkley for Luton, Doku secured the win for City with a brilliant solo effort into the bottom corner.
Not stopping there, Doku then set up Josko Gvardiol for City’s fifth goal, sealing the victory with a stunning strike into the top corner. The impressive win puts City two points clear at the top of the table, with Liverpool and Arsenal having the chance to reclaim the top spot on Sunday.
On the other hand, Luton finds themselves still in the relegation zone after the defeat. .
