The details surrounding the alleged murder of Saraswati Vaidya in Mumbai, India, are deeply disturbing.

Manoj Sahani, her live-in partner, has been accused of killing her, dismembering her body, boiling some of the remains, and stuffing them into plastic bags for disposal.

The incident came to light after neighbors noticed a foul smell emanating from the couple’s apartment and alerted the police.

Upon investigation, the police discovered body parts in plastic bags inside the apartment.

It is reported that Sahani had purchased a tree-cutter to chop the body and had cooked the body parts in a pressure cooker before attempting to dispose of them.

Approximately 12-13 body parts were recovered from the scene.

The motive behind the alleged murder is currently under investigation, and Sahani is being questioned by the police.

This case bears similarities to another gruesome murder in India, where a woman was killed, dismembered, and her body parts were stored in a refrigerator before being disposed of in a forest.

Rekha Sharma, the chairperson of the Indian National Commission for Women, expressed concern about the increasing occurrence of such heinous crimes.
