Big Nuz’s successful member Mampintsha has passed away. He was 40.

The South African musician reportedly passed away on Saturday following a stroke last week, according to sources.

On social media, Afrotainment confirmed the information.

The musician’s passing was verified on Twitter by the Southern African Music Rights Organization: “SAMRO offers its sincere condolences to Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo’s family, friends, and business associates in remembrance of the Big Nuz group member. Mampintsha made a significant contribution to the South African music business that will never be forgotten.”

According to a statement made public on Thursday by the record company Afrotainment, Mampintsha, real name Mandla Maphumulo, was admitted to the hospital after having a stroke during a concert with Big Nuz.

Babes Wodumo was Mampitsha’s husband. When shown on their reality show, Uthando Lodumo, the pair had been working on their marriage as they welcomed their first child in July 2021.

In September, the second season was made available.

Viewers of the couple’s reality program got a front-row seat to their star-studded wedding ceremony, lobola negotiations, and the countdown to the arrival of their first child, who they lovingly refer to as “Sponge,” during the first season.
