Big Nuz’s Mampintsha, a Durban-based performer, has passed away.

Mampintsha (40), whose true name is Mandla Maphumulo, is best known for the early 2000s group hit Umlilo. Everyone in the nation was singing “uzungawothi” as the song spread across the nation.

Babes Wodumo, a Wololo hitmaker, was his wife; her real name is Bongekile Simelane (28), and the couple had a kid together in 2021. As evidenced by their reality show Uthando Lodumo, they have been attempting to improve their marriage.

Alongside Mzi Tshomela, also known as Danger, and Sbu Khomo, also known as R Mashesha, he was a member of Big Nuz. R Mashas passed away on August 7, 2015. Danger is the group’s final survivor.

A new December blockbuster CD has recently been launched by the group in memory of a deceased member. After being published on November 25, the single Ngeke is already at the top of the charts.

Afrotainment verified the news of Mampintsha’s illness in a statement on December 22. After a concert with Big Nuz, it was reported that he was in the hospital after suffering a stroke.

“The family asks for privacy during this trying time from the public and the media.

“Please remember him in your prayers, as we ask. The statement said, in part, “Afrotainment wishes him a speedy recovery and we cannot wait for him to rock our stages again.

His demise was confirmed in a brief statement by West Ink Records.

Mandlenkosi Mampintsha Maphumulo, the CEO of West Ink and a husband, parent, singer, passed away. No information about his passing may be made public.
