Maggie Thrett, 76, Actress in “Star Trek” and “Three in the Attic,” Passes Away.

In the original Star Trek episode “Mudd’s Women,” Maggie Thrett played one of three glitzy humanoids who needed medicines to prevent aging. Maggie Thrett was an actress and singer. She was 76.

According to her agent Scott Ray, Thrett passed away on Sunday in a Long Island hospital from natural causes.

Along with Yvette Mimieux, Christopher Jones, and Judy Pace, Thrett played a flower child in the 1968 sex revenge comedy Three in the Attic, which was a financial success for independent distributor AIP. In a TV ad that appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, she and the movie were mentioned (2019).

She, along with her fellow aliens Eve McHuron (Karen Steele) and Magda Kovacs (Susan Denberg), play prospective wives who have been sexed up by Harry Mudd, played by Roger C. Carmel. However, they require Venus medication to maintain their appearance. (Thrett and Carmel actually lived next to each other in Hollywood.)

On November 18, 1946, in New York City, Diane Pine was born. She attended the High School for the Performing Arts in Manhattan and modeled for Harper’s Bazaar, where she was featured on the cover.

She released the single “Your Love Is Mine” in 1964 along with the B-side “Lucky Girl,” and a year later, she scored a modest hit with the song “Soupy,” which was written and produced by Bob Crewe, who is best known for his work with The Four Seasons.
