Lupita Nyong’o, who plays Nakia in the film, was positively glowing in a knotted white one-shoulder dress by Balmain, which she wore with an intricate shell crown and purple shoes. As the new global ambassador for De Beers (she stars in the brand’s Where It Begins campaign), Lupita had first pick of its diamond jewelry to wear to the event, and she chose a suite of diamond rings, earrings, and bracelets for the occasion.

This month marks the beginning of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever press tour, meaning that the former British Vogue cover star and Glamour Woman of the Year will be busy with junkets and red carpets for several weeks.
