Campbell, Luke Donald MBE is a former World Number One professional golfer from England. He mostly competes on the PGA Tour in the United States, although he is also a member of the European Tour. Donald had a fantastic year in 2011, winning a number of tournaments and prizes.

Donald rose to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking after winning the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club in May 2011.
Between May 2011 and March 2012, he was world number one for 40 weeks before Rory McIlroy momentarily surpassed him.
The couple subsequently traded the number one spot four more times in the next two months. Donald reclaimed the world number one status on May 27, 2012, after successfully defending his BMW PGA Championship title. He remained number one for another ten weeks before being dethroned by McIlroy. Donald has held the World Number One position for a total of 56 weeks and has spent over 200 weeks in the top ten.
