Ludvig Noa Åberg is received as a Swedish professional golfer. He rose to number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in September 2022 after becoming number one in the European Amateur Golf Ranking in April 2021. He was part of the victorious Swedish team at the 2019 European Amateur Team Championship.
Åberg was born and grew up in Eslöv in the province of Skåne, Sweden. In 2007 he began playing golf at the local club, Eslöv Golf Club.

Mia Aberg and Johan Aberg are the parents of the golf player. The parents have been a great support to their son in terms of his golf career. His father was a golfer, which sparked his interest in the game, but he admits he never really fell in love with golf until he was about 13 or 14.
Aberg’s mother saw the potential for a golf career early on. That wasn’t just because of his unique skill but because of the work ethic and focus that remains to this day.
“I think the first memory of Ludvig having the potential to become a good golfer was probably when he was around 6 or 7 years old and had kids clinics with other kids his age,” says his mother, Mia Aberg. “The other kids were more interested in smelling flowers and having fun, but Ludvig wanted to practice and play, so he got fairly upset with the other guys for not caring about improving.
“We think the biggest reason why he has been able to do good in both school and golf is that Texas Tech has taught him to become more independent and take more responsibility. Moving abroad away from family and friends is a big deal, and I think it taught him more about himself.”
