L. Q. Jones was an American actor and director. Some of the films he made an appearance in are Sam Peckinpah’s flicks Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1970), The Ballad of Cable Hogue (1970), The Wild Bunch (1969), Major Dundee (1965), Ride the High Country (1962).

Jones was born Justus Ellis McQueen Jr. on the 19th of August 1927, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born to Jessie Paralee his mother and railroad worker Justus Ellis McQueen Sr. his father. On the 9th of July 2022, Jones died at his home in Hollywood Hills, California, at the age of 94.
Jones and his ex-wife got married in the year 1950. At the time, it was strongly believed that their relationship will last till the death of one partner. Unfortunately, the couple sadly divorced in 1973. Since their divorce, there has been no record of Jones marrying again. It is believed he stayed single until his death.
He was married for 23 years to his ex-wife, whose name is Nate Lewis. Together the couple was blessed with three children namely Marlin Jones, Marily Jones, and Stephen Jones.
