Brittney Taylor, a cast member on the popular reality television show “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” has found herself in legal trouble after being arrested for allegedly assaulting the father of her two children with a baseball bat.
According to law enforcement sources, the altercation occurred earlier this month when Afeez, the father of Taylor’s children, came to visit them in New York. The couple had reportedly been experiencing tension in their relationship, and Afeez had been keeping his distance. However, when he came to see the kids, things quickly turned violent.
Sources say that Taylor got into a physical altercation with Afeez when he and his mother were leaving the apartment with the children. Allegedly, Taylor said something to Afeez which he ignored, and that set her off. Afeez claims that Taylor then punched him in the face while their children were present. He left the residence, but Taylor followed him out with a baseball bat, hitting him and leaving him with a laceration and significant facial bleeding.
Afeez went to the hospital to receive treatment for the injuries he sustained during the altercation, including stitches for a cut above his eye. Meanwhile, a warrant was issued for Taylor’s arrest, and she turned herself in to authorities last week.
Taylor has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon. The incident has left many of her fans shocked and concerned for the safety of her children.
This is not the first time that Taylor has been involved in a violent incident. In 2019, she was allegedly punched by her “Love & Hip Hop: New York” co-star Remy Ma at a concert. However, those charges were eventually dropped.
