Louisiana woman, Hannah Landon, has been arrested for allegedly strangling her boyfriend’s six-year-old daughter, Bella Fontenelle, and disposing of her lifeless body in a plastic bucket.
She then rolled the bucket on a cart to the home of the child’s mother, Jennifer Zeledon. Bella’s father, Michael Fontenelle, woke up to find both Landon and his daughter gone and reported them missing.
The child’s remains were later found in the front yard of her mother’s home, less than two blocks away from Michael’s residence. Investigators were able to identify Landon as the prime suspect by obtaining Ring doorbell footage, which showed her wearing white boots and a red shirt as she calmly hauled the little girl’s remains to her mother’s home.
Bella’s manner of death was homicide, and her cause of death was “manual strangulation” and “multiple blunt force injuries to the head.” Landon has been charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice and is being held without bond. Bella’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her funeral and family expenses.
