American actor Lou Taylor Pucci (born July 27, 1985) made his film debut in Rebecca Miller’s Personal Velocity: Three Portraits in 2002. Thumbsucker (2005), for which Pucci received a Special Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival and the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin Film Festival, marked the beginning of his career as a leading man.

The Chumscrubber (2005), Fast Food Nation (2006), The Go-Getter (2007), Explicit Ills (2008), and Carriers were the next films in which Pucci appeared (2009). Pucci played the lead in the 2013 version of Evil Dead as well as The Tale of Luke and Spring (2014).
At the age of ten, he made his acting debut in an Oliver! performance in his hometown. Two years later, he performed on Broadway as Freidrich in The Sound of Music as an understudy.
He starred as the lead in Mike Mills’ film Thumbsucker, for which he won the Special Jury Prize for Acting at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and the Silver Bear Award for Best Actor at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival.
He can also be seen in Arie Posin’s The Chumscrubber, the HBO miniseries Empire Falls, and other films. In Green Day’s “Jesus of Suburbia” music video, he also played “St. Jimmy” (with Thumbsucker co-star Kelli Garner).
