Lorna who lived in Charleston, was the widow of Dr. James William Colbert, Jr, as stated before. She lost her husband and two sons in a plane crash in Charlotte in 1974. She also lost one of his children, a son, William George Colbert Sr. in 1999. He was 49 years old.
She was the daughter of daughter of Andrew and Marie Tuck. She is one of three children of her parents, hence, she has two siblings; a brother Andrew Jr and a sister Colleen Tuck Tibbetts.
She was an accomplished businesswoman, a church leader and a talented artist.
