The American country music singer Loretta Lynn, Loretta Webb (April 14, 1932 – October 4, 2022) was born. In the 1960s and 1970s, Lynn, one of the greatest country vocalists and composers of all time, dominated the charts with more than 70 songs both as a solo performer and as a duet partner.

With a poor upbringing and a passionate but turbulent marriage, Lynn’s own life frequently served as the inspiration for her well-known songs. An Oscar-winning smash movie based on her best-selling memoirs from 1976, Coal Miner’s Daughter, starred Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones.

On October 4, 2022, early in the morning, Loretta passed away peacefully. 90 years old was she. In Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, a community located 70 miles west of Nashville, she passed away at her house.

At the time, her family released a statement saying, “Our lovely mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully on, Oct. 4, in her sleep at home in her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills.”

Her natural causes of death were confirmed by Loretta’s family in a statement to The Los Angeles Times. Five years after being admitted to the hospital after a stroke in May 2017, a month after her 85th birthday, Loretta passed away.
