Lorenzo was born in Carrara (Italy) on the 3rd of March 2002 to Francesco and Sabrina Musetti. His father is a marble producer while his mother works as a secretary.
He has achieved a career-high ITF juniors ranking of 1 in the world. On 26 January 2019 Musetti defeated Emilio Nava to win the 2019 Australian Open boys’ singles title.
