Controversial Afrobeats/Hip-hop artiste Lord Paper seems to have turned over a new leaf after meeting with the founder of the Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare.

This move comes after his 2016 controversial x-rated “Awurama” video backfired, attracting so many criticisms to the extent of affecting his sprouting music career.

He shared a photo with the powerful man of God via Twitter on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, with a caption that emphatically states that he has indeed turned over a new leaf.

The Auzy Media record label artiste said his meeting with the bishop was life-changing, describing him as his ‘daddy’ (father).

Lord, whose latest single, titled “Love No Catch You Before”, is driving massive airplay, further stated in his tweet that he received prayers from Bishop Agyin-Asare and that he has repented for good.

He tweeted: “Was a life-changing meeting with you daddy Pastor Agyin Asare. Thanks for the prayers, I’ve repented for good. The devil can’t use me again. Proud of the new me 🙏😇 #NewLordPaper #NewMusic #NewVibes.”

 

Legally known as Michael Takyi-Frimpong, the Soul, Afrobeats and Hip-hop star is best known for his 2016 debut single, titled “Awurama”.

After the release of his single, Lord Paper was crucified by the public due to the level of nudity portrayed in the video.

Many believed the artiste intentionally made such a video to get quick attention from Ghanaians.

After his “Awurama” single, Lord Paper has released a number of singles which include “Sika Duro”, “Call On Me” featuring Mr Eazi, “Insecure” featuring Joey B, “Love No Catch You Before” to name a few.

Lord Paper who is working hard to change the narrative Ghanaians have about him after the release of his controversial music video in 2016, is channelling his talent in making music that would impact society.
