Welsh actor Lloyd Alexander A. Everitt was born on March 20, 1987. He was the youngest actor to portray Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe in 2015, at the age of 27. For his part in the BBC One medical drama Casualty, he received a nomination for Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards (2016–2017).

Everitt hails from Barry in the Glamorgan Valley. He has a sister and was born to Welsh father Haydn and Jamaican mother Pauline. He went to Barry Boys’ School and Gladstone Primary School. In 2010, he received his degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Everitt was told he had dyslexia while attending acting school, where he had been instructed to use pictures to help him remember lines. He represents the British Dyslexia Association as an ambassador.
He gained notoriety as the youngest actor to portray Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, went on to feature in Gielgud on the West End, and rose to fame as Jez Andrews in Casualty on television.
