Tuesday morning was the introduction of the 74th Primetime Emmy Award nominees, which was done virtually by JB Smoove and Melissa Fumero.
HBO’s Succession received the most nominations with 25, followed by Ted Lasso on Apple TV+ and The White Lotus on HBO with 20 each, Hacks on HBO Max and Only Murders in the Building on Hulu with 17, and Euphoria on HBO with 16 nominations, including one for Zendaya to defend her win from two years ago.
To honor the year’s best in TV and streaming, 119 categories will be considered.
The two-night Creative Arts section of this year’s Emmys is scheduled for September 3–4, with the awards ceremony taking place over two weekends. The Primetime ceremony will be streamed live on Peacock and broadcast live on NBC on September 12.
